The icon! This is Zoo Racing's most popular shell in the lightest version available, 0.4mm. The Wolverine shell gives the most aggressive steering out of any of the Zoo Racing shells with great rotation. It is not as stable as the Zoo Racing Panterra through corners and for this reason is suited to tight tracks, high bite surfaces such as boral asphalt coat or ground down asphalt or treated surfaces and carpet.
a 0.4mm shell will allow the car to flex more as the thin lexan does not inhibit chassis flex as much as a 0.7mm shell. This means you get more steering the thinner the shell is. a 0.7mm shell will provide a safer feeling car but will have less initial and mid corner steering. A 0.5mm shell is a mix between the 0.7mm safety and the 0.4mm's agility. the 0.4mm is best suited to when you want maximum steering, maximum rotation and agility over bumps with the 0.4mm feeling less unsettled when driving over domes or surface undulations. The draw back is that the 0.4mm is a thinner shell with higher likelihood of breaking but there is no substitute to the 0.4mm on high bite surfaces, or a hot or sunny race day on a high grip asphalt track and especially on a boral asphalt coated track! With the correct setup the 04mm will work ALL the time. for beginners, you may prefer the feel and sturdiness of a 0.7mm shell.
